Pensar en una ciudad llena de colores, es pensar en espacios pú-
blicos abiertos y participativos. Por eso, utilizar el arte como medio
para el mejoramiento del entorno urbano es parte de la obligación
que tenemos como sociedad.
Hoy y luego de cuatro años de trabajo colaborativo, son más de 500
las personas que gracias al proyecto
“Tus Ideas en Tu Paradero”
han podido aportar, desde la ejecución artística, con un espacio
más amable para nuestra ciudad, en torno al Transporte urbano.
Niños, vecinos y vecinas, sin distinción de edad, han abierto su
imaginación desde las diversas técnicas plásticas existentes, dejan-
do un sello imborrable en comunas como: San Miguel, La Florida,
Puente Alto, Lo Barnechea, Santiago, entre otras que seguirán
sumando colores y texturas en estos puntos de encuentro, que son
los paraderos de buses de Transantiago.
Volver a lo comunitario, mirarnos a los ojos, creer en la partici-
pación como canal de difusión, es parte de nuestras prioridades,
que como autoridad, continuaremos desarrollando durante esta
administración para multiplicar esto en toda la ciudad y por qué no,
en todo el país.
Este proyecto no sólo nos hace personas activas y responsables
de lo que sucede en nuestro entorno, también nos permite abrir
un espacio de apropiación natural de la infraestructura básica
para el funcionamiento del Transporte Público, generando una
oportunidad de ahorro en mantención de inmobiliario vandalizado,
lo que proporciona nuevos recursos para invertir en mejoramiento y
experiencia de viaje de los usuarios.
Ciudad Color, la agrupación responsable de coordinar y desarrollar
esta hermosa iniciativa, ha logrado consolidar su metodología y
forma de integración con la comunidad, lo que confirma que el
trabajo debe seguir creciendo, asumiendo nuevos desafíos con los
futuros participantes.
Por esta razón, recopilar y resumir el trabajo realizado durante un
año, es una hermosa manera de incentivar la creación de nuevos
proyectos que permitan cuidar, cada vez más, nuestro Transporte
Público Metropolitano.
Finalmente, hoy la tarea es seguir aumentando el número de
ciudadanos participativos y responsables, por eso durante el 2015
duplicaremos el número de paradas intervenidas en distintos sec-
tores de Santiago, todo bajo la premisa que el color puede llevar
tus ideas al paradero y así, hacernos viajar por la ciudad. ‡
Thinking in a city full of colors is to think of open
participatory public spaces. Because of this, using
art as a means of improving the urban environ-
ment is part of the obligation we have as a society.
Today, after four years of collaborative work, the
Tus Ideas en Tu Paradero
project
(Your Ideas on
Your Bus Stop project) has helped more than 500
people to collaborate with an artistic perfor-
mance, to create a nicer place for our city around
urban transport.
Children and neighbors, regardless their age, have
opened their imagination with a number of exist-
ing plastic techniques, leaving an inedible mark
in communes like: San Miguel, La Florida, Puente
Alto, Lo Barnechea, Santiago, among others, that
will continue adding color and texture at these
meeting places, the Transantiago bus stops.
Going back to community, looking into each oth-
er’s eyes, believing in participation as a dissemi-
nation channel, are some of our priorities that, as
an authority, will continue developing throughout
this administration to spread this all over the city
and, maybe, all over the country.
This project not only makes us active people and
responsible for what happens in our environment
but also lets us open a space of natural ownership
of the basic infrastructure for the functioning of
public transport, generating an opportunity to
lower the costs of vandalized furniture mainte-
nance, which brings new resources to invest in
improvement and travel experience of the users.
Ciudad Color, the group responsible of coordinat-
ing and developing this beautiful initiative, has
been able to consolidate its methodology and the
integration with the community, which confirms
that this work has to keep growing, assuming new
challenges with the future participants.
This is why making a compilation and a summary
of the work done for a year is a beautiful way to
encourage the creation of new projects that will
allow us to increasingly take care of our Metro-
politan Public Transport.
Finally, our job today is to increase the amount
of responsible citizens involved. That is why we
will double the amount of intervened bus stops
in different parts of Santiago in 2015, under the
premise that colors can take your ideas to the bus
stop and make us travel through the city. ‡
